What’s different in Wyoming
Most Hazardous Materials questions are the same federal material in every state. 4 questions in the app are written for Wyoming alone, from the 2024 Wyoming Commercial Driver License Manual (Rules of the Road: Commercial & Heavy Vehicles, WYDOT, October 2024).
- Wyoming rule: All CDL licensees with the Hazardous Materials endorsement (H or X) are required to appear in person to renew their Wyoming CDL licenses and present their TSA background check paperwork.Wyoming manual, section i.iv
- Wyoming rule: Hazmat drivers failing to present a new background check will have their license expiration reduced from five years to the expiration of their current TSA check.Wyoming manual, section i.iv
