H endorsement: placarding, shipping papers and the segregation table.

What’s different in Texas

Most Hazardous Materials questions are the same federal material in every state. 2 questions in the app are written for Texas alone, from the Texas Commercial Motor Vehicle Drivers Handbook (DL-7C).

Two Texas questions, answer shown

How much diesel fuel may a Texas FRSI restricted CDL holder haul without a full hazmat endorsement?

  1. 500 gallons or less
  2. 3,000 gallons or less
  3. 1,000 gallons or less(correct answer)
  4. No diesel at all

FRSI holders may carry up to 1,000 gallons of diesel, up to 3,000 gallons of liquid fertilizer, or any quantity of solid fertilizer not mixed with organic material.

A sample question

One example, answer shown. Practicing the rest happens in the app.

  2. Any amount at all
  3. 1,001 pounds or more(correct answer)
  4. 500 pounds or more
