N endorsement: surge, baffles and the rules for outage.

A sample question

One example, answer shown. Practising the rest happens in the app.

You brake to a stop at a red light in a loaded tanker. What can the forward-moving wave of liquid do to your vehicle?

  1. Force extra fuel into the engine cylinders
  2. Push the truck forward into the intersection(correct answer)
  3. Cause the trailer brakes to lock automatically
  4. Lift the drive axles off the pavement

When a tank vehicle stops, the liquid keeps moving and slams toward the front of the tank. That fore-aft surge can shove the whole vehicle ahead, which is why drivers must stop well short of the crosswalk or the vehicle ahead.
