Danger zone figures differ by state: the AAMVA model edition and Oregon give 30 ft front (first 10 ft worst), 10 ft sides, 10 ft rear; California gives 30 ft front (first 12 ft worst), 12 ft sides, 12 ft rear; New York gives 15 ft all round.
